Mama Zahra Foundation is a non-governmental organization working for the welfare of the Somali people in emergency situations and post-emergency recovery and reconstruction programs in particular women and children.

Mama Zahra Foundation is a non-political, non-profitable making, nonpartisan, and ethnic and gender sensitive organization created in 2012 to respond to the current needs for Somali people in order to reduce if not to eliminate child abuse and ensure friendly living environment for women, elderly and children in Somalia
What We Do:
Mama Zahra Foundation is aimed to tackle the humanitarian crisis including but not limited to: Child Care, protection, droughts and disaster prevention and also develops community basic social Services needs and creates employment opportunities and income generation projects for the Youth, Women, IDPs and poor rural community to reduce the level of poverty and contribute to both National and global Development Goals.

The Mama Zahra Foundation seeks to improve the standard of living and quality of life for communities in Somalia by reducing poverty and alleviating human suffering in emergency and disaster circumstances.
